Good News for Britt and Kelly

We are going to have two girls at St. Mary's College next year! Britt received her early acceptance letter last week and Kelly just got the call that her transfer was approved. Kelly starts in two weeks and Britt in the fall. The ND football tailgates will be a great time for the next four years with all the girls new friends - now we just need a few more victories. We have to move kelly next weekend - so the relaxing time before China is gone.

it's two weeks until we leave for China. I called United Airlines just to confirm the seat assignments and quess what - UA messed up Lily's ticket. You never can check the details too many times. Hopefully this little glitch will be the worst -- hopefully.

New update on Lily

We just received information from Lily's latest medical checkup.

Height - 27 inches
Weight - 19 pounds
and 2 teeth --

We have our travel date to China

Only a few more weeks until we have Lily. Bethany Christian called and informed us we will have Lily on January 21st. This is later than we expected, but at least now we can plan the trip. Lily's first birthday is January 22nd, so it will really be an eventful first few days. Suz and I will leave Chicago on Friday January 18th and arrive in Guangzhou the evening of January 19th. If everything goes as scheduled we will all return to Chicago on Wednesday January 30th.

This weekend everyone assembled Lily's crib and put everything into her room. Now everyone is really ready for her to join the family.

Getting Closer --- But no travel date yet

Well the wait for our TA - Travel Assignment - is getting to us all at this point. Some of the families with our referral date have already received notice that they are going to China as early as December 7th. Our group is rather large, as Bethany has 15 families all going together. 5 families have babies from Xuwen, so maybe the girls will have an easier adjustment period.

Knowing we will be seeing Lily very soon does not make the wait any easier - maybe harder.
