The first thing I said to Greg this morning was "one week from today
and we get to come home!" We will be ready. When I posted yesterday
morning, there wasn't a lot to post. But the afternoon picked up.
Unfortunately, Lily was feeling worse after her nap. There is a
medical clinic in our hotel, so Greg and I decided to take her
there. We were glad we did. She has bronchitis. So besides the
antibiotic we had already started, the doctor gave her 2 more
medicines - decongestant and a cough syrup. She also has to have 3
breathing treatments. As you can imagine, there is a lot of crying
for the treatments, but we think they have helped her. 2 down and 1
to go tomorrow. We were very happy with the doctor and the nurse at
the clinic. They are doing a great job taking care of her. She
seems better today, a little happier and more active. We have the
day free until 4:00 when we have to go and apply for her Chinese
passport. Today is cool so we are not taking her out unless we have
to. And yesterday we didn't get our shopping in because she was
sick. So, I am hoping to shop in the next day or two. I am glad our
hotel is so nice since we've had to spend a lot of time in it.
Shiyen, our Chinese Bethany advisor, is taking the group out for thai
food tonight. We were looking forward to that, but I don't know that
we will make it with Lily. Shiyen has done a great job with us
here. She is very warm, friendly, and very helpful. We have really
liked her. Suz
